DOREMOLL

About the Project

Doremoll is a free educational platform for practicing musical ear training, orientation in musical notation, and music theory. The website was designed with music learners in mind — both those studying independently and those attending music schools.

The goal of the project is to simplify and make daily exercises more enjoyable. No login required, no ads, no distractions — just specific, short tasks that you can tailor to your level and current needs.

Doremoll works equally well for beginners and for advanced users who want to consolidate material, prepare for exams, or simply test themselves.

About the Exercises

The platform offers interactive ear-training and visual exercises. You can treat the exercises as free practice or run them as a quick quiz in test mode, with time tracking and a final score. You can also use exam mode, which simulates a real exam — you will only see your result after completing the set number of tasks.

Interval Recognition

The interval exercise develops the ability to recognize distances between sounds, which forms the foundation of harmonic and melodic ear training and is useful in many exams and musical dictations.
The following versions of the exercises are available:

Chords Recognition

The exercise involves recognizing the type of chords based on its sound. It teaches conscious listening to chord structure and the relationships between its components.
Available options include:

Scales recognition

The scale exercise helps you get familiar with their sound and the characteristic differences between major and minor scale variants.
The following options are available:

Key Recognition

The exercise involves recognizing keys based on key signatures. It develops orientation in the circle of fifths and allows you to quickly associate the number of sharps or flats with a specific key.

Musical Notation Recognition

The task is to quickly recognize the pitch of notes in treble clef and bass clef. Regular practice shortens reaction time and facilitates sight-reading, especially at faster tempos.

Rhythmic Value Recognition

The exercise focuses on recognizing the duration of notes and rests. It helps solidify the relationships between rhythmic values and increases confidence in reading rhythmic notation.

Test Mode

Every exercise can be run in test mode, which is a short quiz with a results summary. It works great for reviews, exam preparation, or tracking your own progress.
You can then use the following features:

Exam Mode

The platform also offers exam mode. It is an excellent option for a reliable assessment of your skills or a quick review before a test at music school. This mode includes the following features:
